The band has been playing together for two years. They play with a confidence and energy which engages the audience whilst still managing to create a good vibe and relaxed atmosphere. Theo’s Trio have performed regular spots at venues in Russell and Paihia.
Theo Klee- Bass.
Theo is a professional music teacher at Bay of Islands College. Originally from Germany, he has played in several 70’s soul and funk bands. He is also a regular in the northland blues and jazz scene performing in festivals and local venues in the Bay of Islands.
Hayden Hall- Drums
Hayden is in his final year of study at college where he excels in performance music, he hopes to study jazz in Wellington next year. He has already gained experience playing in local venues, musicals and community events. His approach to jazz drumming shows maturity beyond his years.
Aaron Wright- Guitar
Aaron has a Bachelor of Music degree from Waikato University and is now HOD of music at Bay of Islands College. As well as studying classical music he has been involved in projects in the popular and jazz genres. He is responsible for providing the melodic direction and harmonic context in Theo’s Trio.
