That's Life

Based in Auckland, many of you may have seen the members of “That’s Life” at previous jazz festivals in the Bay of Islands. They have had a long association with this jazz festival, playing in bands like the BBC band, Jazz-a-Plenty, Dr Jaz. The musicians have supported many artists from New Orleans in past years.

Jeff Smith heads up the band on vocals and keyboards. Jimmy Gibb provides the solid beat and rhythm on the drums, supported by Chris Sang on six-string bass and U-Bass. Alistair McMillan joins the band for this year’s festival on trombone and trumpet.

“That’s Life” are delighted to have the support of the vibrant vocals of Sally Sadler.

Sally has been singing around the Auckland area, and further afield for a long time and is one of only twelve NZ artistes awarded the ‘Shure Golden Microphone’ Award for Most Professional Performer.  She was support-act for Tony Bennett when he visited NZ.

These days, Sally is just as happy swinging along with a trio or quartet, having fun entertaining her audiences.

That’s Life will be playing a mix of jazz, blues and mainstream that is bound to suit everyone’s taste. Come along to the festival and settle in for the weekend for some easy listening music.

See you there.
