Good Oil

The Auckland based band, Good Oil made their first appearance at the Bay of Islands Jazz and Blues festival last year and had a great time, so they are keen to be back this year.
The five piece line up are Dave Peryman (Mr P) - keyboards/vocals, Kim Crossan - vocals/percussion, Chris Sang - Bass, Gavin Law - trumpet/saxophone and Keith (Sarg) Rowlands – drums. They are all passionate and experienced musicians who’s motto is “just enjoy yourselves, that’s what music is all about”
They perform a mix of well known covers like Burt Bacharach, Diana Krall, Melody Gardot, Michael Bubble plus their own original songs that are sure to get your feet tapping.
It has been busy during the last year for Good Oil, releasing their first CD, “Shallow Waters”, with original songs written by Dave Peryman (keyboards/vocals). They will be playing these songs plus many others at this year’s festival. The CD will also be available for purchase at the Festival.
Some recent highlights for Good Oil have been performing at the Hamilton Jazz Society (this was an absolute blast, great people and great venue) and also at “The Deck” bar, Sky City Casino, on Sunday nights. They will be making sure that this Festival is added to their list of highlights.
