Annee2CU Blues Band performs the spectrum of the Blues with excellent musicianship, giving an amazing platform for ‘the Blues Experience.’ Lead vocals are performed by the amazing voice of Annee. She is an extremely versatile, distinctive vocalist with attitude and an uncanny ability to be able to create and command a song into her own style. She has had two NZ number 1 hits on the Sound Click Internet site; both made the top 30 worldwide. The talented bass player and musical director of Annee2CU is Patrick Fenemor. He plays both the electric bass guitar and the electric stand-up bass. Patrick is very experienced and has played in many bands throughout including the Sun City Jazz Club Big Band. The man who provides the main leads on guitar is Mike McMinn. A very talented & feeling guitarist, Mike is originally from Britain where he gained critical acclaim from ‘Melody Maker’ publication with the indie band, Magic House. You can certainly expect to hear some emotive licks caressing your ears from Mike. Playing the harmonica and providing the slide guitar leads as well as extra leads is Marc Harrex. A Tasmanian, Marc began playing the blues to audiences in San Francisco, USA. In Auckland, he has played with several bands including Bullet and Freight. Be prepared to be dazzled when Marc hits the harp. The latest recruit to Annee2CU is rhythm guitarist, Nick Dooner formerly of Deep Creek. Nick has had a varied career working in music both as a performer and in supporting roles. He has been a tour roadie for Barton Sound (working with the likes of Clapton) & is now a senior TV cameraman with TVNZ. Arvind Dayal started playing drums in the gospel circuits with live gigs as well as original compositions and recording work in studios. Arvind has since played in many covers bands including 2 Florz Up and has worked with Tama London (formerly of well-known reggae band Herbs). Watch out for his infectious grin. We are looking forward to playing at the Bay of Islands Jazz & Blues Festival.
